Burning Issues

2005 will see the launch of the Burning issues series of events of Merseyside. The series will bring speakers from the frontier of new global ideas about enterprise, leadership and sustainability. The events will tackle issues that are vital to the future of Merseyside while creating opportunities for those engaged in shaping this future to build up and sustain powerful business networks. The core principles that shape the thinking behind the series are:

• The need to bring into Merseyside the type of creative and innovative thinking that is essential to a vibrant 21st century economy.
• The challenge of building powerful networks of leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, policy makers, intermediaries, thinkers and other key actors in the local economy
• The opportunity to address key issues like the changing nature of leadership, the challenge of enterprise, culture as an economic force, building knowledge clusters etc., with audiences that bridge the policy, economic business and knowledge communities.
