50 of the most successful entrepreneurs to emerge from Merseyside are telling their stories, and the secrets of their success, in a bid to recreate the spirit of enterprise in the region.

As part of their research programme, the Merseyside Entrepreneurship Commission is putting together fifty case studies of successful entrepreneurs from Merseyside. The commission is examining the issues holding Merseyside back from its economic potential, from the informal economy to low rates female entrepreneurship. They hope that by examining the region's success stories, they can pick out which barriers, from lack of social support to poor access to finance, these entrepreneurs struggled to overcome, and look at ways to make the path easier for the entrepreneurs of the future.
